JOHN RADFORD
I must thank especially several people who have given enormous support to benchrest rimfire in general and also to the Australian Rimfire Team in France in France and I should have done this in my last email.
Firstly a huge thank-you to our team captain Richard Lightfoot, who inherited the remaining organisation of the trip when Alex Chryss resigned as B/R Chairman, due to health issues.
Well done Richard and with all the added responsibility you performed marvellously for Australia … again well done …. You did Australia proud as did our whole team !
Also another thank-you to Robin Cox, one of our Gold Medal winning team, who not only sent updates regularly back home, but gave other shooters valuable shooting hints which in my case worked very well … thank’s Robin for a great team attitude …. Your’e a legend!
Can’t forget John Platzwald, who was my “minder” and for looking after me as though I was his Dad, … thanks John, “you are like the younger brother I never had”. Thank’s good friend!
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST … A huge “thank-you” to Bill Collaros, for his ever present huge support for all rimfire disciplines and all organisations over many years.
Bill gave huge support via email to our Aussie SSAA team in France which was appreciated.
Bill has always put enormous drive and energy into our sport and always demonstrates great forward vision and tremendous organisational ability and achieves his objectives.
I am saddened to witness undeserved veiled attacks on him recently, both local and from abroad, one rumour even suggesting he was not leaving the sport on his own terms, which of course is utter rubbish.
Bill, we are all going to miss your huge past input into our sport and we will all miss you as a good person. I have and still do regard you as a good friend and a mate as many others do.
Trust me there are hundreds who recognise your huge contribution to our sport. … thank’s Mate and good friend.

Now there's something I would like to see, little Bill on a Harley!
Got any photos.
Ride it out to the range on October weekend.
