Hi All

I have been looking at accommodation options and from what I had found, Mutango Lodge seemed to be worth investigating. I drove out this weekend to take a look and found it to be a good option. They are currently booked by the British and Swedish teams and would be pretty much full if the Aussies book in there too. It is well located being literally about 5 minutes drive from the WBC range.

Mutango is primarily a conference venue, with a large meeting room and a lot of “chalets” around the perimeter of the property. It’s a pretty nice setting, with the venue backing up to a rocky hill. The accommodation itself is two to five bedrooms off a common area in each chalet. Most of the bedrooms have 2 or 3 single beds, but a couple of rooms seem to have double beds. Each bedroom has its own toilet/bathroom. There is a pool and a bar area and there are several BBQ areas on the site. The rooms are nothing especially flash, but Mutango does offer the best price I have been able to find. However it is worth bearing in mind that there may be slightly less privacy with a room either side of the common area than you might find in say a hotel room opposite each other over a hall way.

Mutango is offering bed and breakfast for those sharing a room at 411 rand per head and for those in a room on their own at 479 rand. Both these rates are inclusive of tax. They are also happy to cater to dinner on nights that we might want to dine in (obviously at additional cost).

I have taken some photos to try to give some idea of the venue and chalet layout.

These two pictures are examples of the bedrooms.

This is the pool area. The bar is behind me from where I am taking this picture and there is a pool table next to the bar. There is a BBQ area about 20 meters from the pool.
