Hunter HOF
Barry Edgley — 14 December, 2008 - 15:56
Apart from the inclusion of all classes for eligibility which has been discussed separately, or any impact from the revised class arrangements discussed elsewhere, which require an overhaul of the points allocation, the existing approach which requires only 40 competitors in both classes or 20 in the 2 gun raises anomalies – eg there could be 30 in one class and 10 in the other. Points would be available to the winner of the class in which there was only 10 competitors. The other anomaly is the inclusion of the word OR in determining the availability of HOF points for the 2 gun. The maximum of shooters in the two gun can only be as many as the smallest class – eg as above = 10. It could be as little as 5 – the minimum number of competitors for a registered match. While it may have had some relevance initially it now appears inconsistent with the objectives of HOF expectations.
Proposal : Set the eligibility for HOF points as 20 min in a class, 30 min in the 2Gun.This would need to be reviewed subject to other changes.
