LV Air Tough Day at the Office for Air Rifles...
Wow must have been a tough day in the office
Congratulations Billy Simmons on winning the Gold ,also to Leo and Bill for silver and Bronze
See that the Selmes boys had the juniors covered shooting that rifle for the first time.
All the gear and no idea
Sydney - Australia
"Shoot to Thrill"
Melbourne Wind + Sporter = Character Building Well done to Glenn Seaman
Well done Brett Wilson whom held it together better than most
Massive rain storm last night and change of wind today to extreme green made it tough for most except the leaders congrats to the winner who happens to be a JUNIOR Caden Bardell of Team Eley and Kaos
Caden congratulations on winning the main event at the RBA Nationals
Really happy for you as I am sure so many in Australian benchrest are today
This has to be a first time anywhere in the world that a fifteen year old gets up and wins the National championship
Bet that your dad is the proudest bloke in Australia today of not only your shooting ability but also the young man you are becoming.
Bill thank you for putting up the scores on the forum so we could all follow along all competition
This has made my day
Looks like it was one tough competition this weekend
To all that qualified for the Australian team I congratulate each one of you on fine shooting
To the team KAOS shooters it was a exceptional competition with the top ten occupied by multiple members in every category and winning three of the five events.
I know the whole team KAOS thing is just a bit of fun but pretty proud of them all.
Billy certainly had a great competition winning everything air rifle and placing up there as usual in rimfire.
Bet it was a great weekend as well off the shooting range, because Melbourne sure is a great town.
Also looks like Eley had a great competition probably winning ? the whole lot of rimfire events.
If Lapua or RWS wants to get some wins they need to rethink how they market and availability of their products .
Cant wait to hear how the scoring went doing a double up of computer and manual scoring would have been a busy weekend.
.My pleasure Ben Yes Norm was proud as punch and Yes maybe so re Nationals though my Daughter won Tra Nationals at a similar age i think 2009 so 15 also
Sorry Bill that was before my time but I do think that we over think our hold offs as older people.
When your young you just blast away with no fear of the outcome
But Both Caden and your daughter still have to have the talent in the first place.
Which obviously they have in droves .
Way to go Caden, great to see a young bloke kicking Ass
Lapua 3rd in the Sporter, First in LV and 1st in the grand national championship 3 gun what I believe is the main award in the rimfire part of RBA. So there are options if you want ammo that shoots consistantly at the top.
But well Done Caden, wow he shot so well when I could not buy a nine.
I thought you were a Eley sponsored shooter but glad to be corrected
Still very hard in Queensland anyway to be able to test Lapua certainly can't buy test lots and apparently there isn't even any Midas + in the country at the moment.
That was the advice that I received from my gun shop from Nioa only this week.
I purchased a case of centre X earlier this year that really smashes it in the tunnel but seemed to be more sensitive in the wind than the Eley I have ?
But have to test this is correct and haven't had the chance yet.
When I purchased it, I only had one case of one, to pick from of centre X and a case of Midas + which Billy Simmons purchased.
I always assumed that the Heavy gun is the premier event because that is the rifle that most of us use on a weekly basis and normally the biggest amount of shooters to compete against.
Through no fault of there own, some simply don't have good enough vision for the international sporter and some of them are very good shooters that is the other reason but JMHO.
Being able to shoot all three rifles well, is of course a huge accomplishment and congratulations on your win
Also congratulations Brett on making the Australian team and to everyone that made it, excellent shooting.
