Hi steve

4140 will do the job. Try this link to Interalloy in Minto and check out there product range, they have there uses and specifications on line.

Cheers

Mag box redo

Go to Mike Bryants website and he has a step by step on modifing your mag box to feed 30BR. It is very easy.

This stuff is really easy to work.

I made the bolt for my experimental action from it.

Thanks Rob, It does look like

Thanks Rob,

It does look like the right stuff to use...I will head over to my mates engineeering workshop and see if I can get some off him...I'm sure he uses it for most of his jobs...I have been using 1214 for most of my seating dies but it doesn't harden to well if you want to make bump dies, not that it has to be that hard.
