How to register for announced 2021 Flyshoot events?

HI folks,

Becoming very frustrated trying to find out how to register for 2021 Flyshooter matches. EG:

Little River Cup - Eagle Park VIC 5th & 6th November 2021 300yd, 500M

I've posted a request on the forum posting the above schedule asking for information concerning how to book participation, but received only one well-meaning, but not-so-comforting advice: "A couple of weeks out from a shoot the shoot organiser will normally post to this forum with information and calling for nominations. Just keep an eye out on here as shoots get closer."

Frustrated, I emailed SSAA, and they seem to not to know of any of the numerous shooting events listed above, so I assume none are SSAA gigs.

Surely there's a better way of planning a year of shooting events. I've registered for the two BR events promote on this site (Australia Day and Nationals), and appreciate how organised this arrangement proved to be. So far as Flysheet events listed above, if someone can give me details of who is putting on ANY of these events, I can contact them directly to find out more than the date and city where the competition will be held. I just don't seem to know the secret handshake, but very keen to learn it - or a way of planning further than two weeks in advance for events that I very much would like to fit into my year ahead.

Really hoping for a leg up - happy to receive private email if preferred - birdingyear@gmail.com

Sincerely,
John Weigel

Calendar

I can tell you Canberra is shut down end of January for many months.
Batemans is getting back on track slowly
Coffs Harbour has been quiet as far as match commitments.
I believe it’s up to state delegates to nominate matches and it’s their responsibility to contact and consult with ssaa ranges as to their wish to or ability to host registered matches.
We wait patiently to see what evolves in the coming weeks moving into 2021 and COVID free

Planning

John,

If those dates are from the Official 2021 Fly Calendar I am sure you can use it to plan. Then you can nominate closer to the time.

The short range Official BR calendar was just finalised and will be published shortly. Again you can use this to plan and typically the nominations will be on this site. If you need any further info on short range 100/200 BR you can give me a call if you wish 0400942626
I am one of the Victorian delegates but I can get you connected interstate no problem. I can also get you connected for Victorian Fly shoots.

BTW 500m Fly is a SSAA discipline

Cheers
Michael

Fergus
As noted by Michael, 500

As noted by Michael, 500 meter CF and 200 RF Fly shooting is a SSAA discipline. It has its own National Discipline Chair which is Dave Groves. His email is actflyshoot@hotmail.com He would be the best person to contact to confirm the 2021 match schedule. He could probably point you to match directors too.

Online Entries

I am happy to setup any event for online entries here.

But from 1st January, I can no longer offer this as a free service as there is quite a bit of work getting it setup.

Organizers will be charged $10 per event for this service.

I hope you will agree that this is a small fee to streamline entries and make it easier for competitors.

Rob.
