I've posted a request on the forum posting the above schedule asking for information concerning how to book participation, but received only one well-meaning, but not-so-comforting advice: "A couple of weeks out from a shoot the shoot organiser will normally post to this forum with information and calling for nominations. Just keep an eye out on here as shoots get closer."
Frustrated, I emailed SSAA, and they seem to not to know of any of the numerous shooting events listed above, so I assume none are SSAA gigs.
Surely there's a better way of planning a year of shooting events. I've registered for the two BR events promote on this site (Australia Day and Nationals), and appreciate how organised this arrangement proved to be. So far as Flysheet events listed above, if someone can give me details of who is putting on ANY of these events, I can contact them directly to find out more than the date and city where the competition will be held. I just don't seem to know the secret handshake, but very keen to learn it - or a way of planning further than two weeks in advance for events that I very much would like to fit into my year ahead.
Really hoping for a leg up - happy to receive private email if preferred - birdingyear@gmail.com
Sincerely,
John Weigel
