We will be holding a BRT training course on Rimfires on Monday 23rd at the Coffs Harbour range. This is the day after the championships. If anyone is interested there is still room. Give us a call or email.
Some of the subjects covered include rifle cleaning, scopes, bench technique and wind reading. It is a full day course.

RIMFIRE: AUSTRALIAN TEAMS A B C came 3rd in overall aggregate, AUSTRALIAN TEAM B came 4th overall, CLINTON SONDERGOLD, BRIAN & JAN MITCHELL & ANNIE ELLIOT finished in the top 21 of individual results.

AIR RIFLE: AUSTRALIAN TEAM finished 4th overall, Bill Collaros finished 6th in individual, Rob Austin & Grant Manning finished in the top 25 of the individual.

Due to a clerical error the October 18th RBA shoot has been cancelled.
It appears the range has been double booked for this weekend. The next shoot will be the 29 th of November at the Toowoomba Smallbore range.

It was very windy

Congratulations to all the winners at Springsure last weekend, you did a great job in very difficult conditions. Congratulations and thanks also to the organizers and all the people involved in running this event for making the weekend such an enjoyable one. I'm sure all the shooters who attended would agree with these sentiments. I would also like to take this opportunity to personally thank both Roy and Charlie for their invaluable advice on how to count to five.

SSAA Brisbane - registered IRB shoot 3 (Artifical Light)
3 'Match' (Targets) Shoot x 1 detail commencing 6pm

Anyone who is in Brisbane Tuesday week or can make the trip is invited to this event, but would need to be a SSAA Member for any Records to be broken. All shooters need to be at the range & flags out by 6pm as we have to start shooting at 6.30 to get the three matchs in. Ony one detail with light refreshments/barbie part of $20 nominations. If you are interested please email me on mark@tombrowns.com.au as there is limited benches due to lighting.

I really enjoyed taking a look at the Hunter Class custom rimfire on Saturday at Silverdale. It must be at least 10 years since I shot a rimfire.

In fact, I left the range with an unexpected addition to my armoury, an Anschutz 2013 that used to belong to Nick Catlin!

I spent the day today visiting Dave Billinghurst at Horsley Park gunshop finding some high 30mm mounts so I can use my Leupold Comp scope.

Peter Van Meurs sent me a Hoehn tuner yesterday and I have it already!

Will spend a couple of hours tomorrow fitting this and making some weights to suit.
